Two-factor authentication
User settings
Two-factor authentication for users can be activated in your user settings under . Two authentication methods are available: the authentication app and SMS authentication.
Setting up the authentication app
To use the authentication app function, please download an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) to your mobile device. Then scan the QR code displayed in the lightbox or enter the 32-digit code shown below in the app. The app generates a 6-digit activation code, which you must enter in the second step of the lightbox. Then click on “Activate”. If successful, you will be informed of this via a message.
Setting up SMS authentication
To use SMS authentication, first select your country code and then enter your mobile phone number in the field next to it. Then click on “Send code”. If you have not received a code, you can press the “Send code” button again after a short time. The codes sent are valid for 180 seconds. Enter the six-digit activation code you received by SMS. Then click on “Activate”. If successful, you will be informed of this via a message.
Recovery codes
After setting up the first method, recovery codes are displayed. You should save, print, photograph or handwrite down these codes. The codes are only displayed once. You have the option of generating new recovery codes. Please note, however, that any existing codes will be deleted.
