Property Tracking Settings

An email template is required to send the access data for property tracking. In this template, you can use the macros (_ObjecttrackingUsername and _ObjecttrackingUserpassword) to send the username and password to the owner.
Instructions for email templates can be found here.
Which user is allowed to activate property tracking for whom is controlled by the authorisations.

In the basic settings Extras >> Settings >> Basic settings >> TAB General you can store the template for sending the access data in the category “Property tracking”.

For Preview URL please enter the contact of the property tracking login page, you can also send this page to the client by outputting the URL via the _ObjecttrackingUrl macro in your template. This can be used to call up a preview of the agent’s log entries released for the owner.
For this, the user also needs the “Call up preview link property tracking” right.

The user rights can be used to define which user is allowed to create / manage the property tracking for which contacts and who gets access to the preview function.
Several permissions must be fulfilled for the property tracking.

• Contacts:
In general, only contact records for which the user has “write” permission can have property tracking activated.
If the user also has “property tracking” permission, the “write property tracking” permission must also be available for the desired contact record.
• Properties:
Only properties to which the user has at least read permission can be released for property tracking.

Manage property tracking rights

In the user rights there is a category “Property tracking”. All users who have checked the checkbox in the tab can manage the property tracking.
For which contacts the property tracking can be activated or deactivated is assigned via “Write property tracking”.

Property tracking preview right

With the right “Call preview link property tracking” the user can see a preview of the entries released for property tracking via the website. For this purpose, the contact of the property tracking site must be specified in the basic settings.
This right is not located in the “Property tracking” category, but in the “Administrative rights” category.

Please grant this right only after careful consideration.

Administration property tracking

The “Administration property tracking” right also belongs to the “Administrative rights”. This right can be used to manage the accesses of all contacts for property tracking.
The property tracking administration is accessed via the menu Actions >> Property Actions >> Property Tracking.
