Create, Edit, and Delete Text Blocks
With text blocks in onOffice enterprise, you can save valuable time when entering free-form text (property descriptions, property listings, or other details, etc.), task descriptions, calendar notes, and other text entries. Once set up, you can insert standardized text into your data fields (text fields) with just one click.

1. Create a new text block
If you want to create a new default text for a specific field, follow these steps:
- Click the text block icon directly in the desired field.
- At the very bottom of the pop-up window, click the “Create Text Blocks” button.
- A new input window opens:
- Category 1: It is automatically set to the current field (e.g., Description) by default.
- Category 2: Enter the name/title of the text block here (e.g., “Description of a Manor House”).
- Info: Enter the actual default text in this large free-text field.
- Click the “Save” button.
The text block is now saved and available for this field.
2. Copy the text block into the data field
To insert an existing text block into a property field:
- Click the text block icon in the desired field.
- Select the appropriate module from the list.
- Click the “Apply” link directly below the text of the module.
- Notice: The text is automatically transferred to or added to the open text field for the property. You can insert text multiple times.
3. Edit or delete text blocks
You can correct the saved templates or remove outdated text at any time.
- Click the text block icon next to the field.
- Next to each text block, you’ll find two function icons:
- Edit (pencil icon): Opens the module’s input screen. Change the title to “Category 2” or edit the text in the “Info” field. Then click Save.
- Delete (trash can icon): Irrevocably removes the text block from the system.
4. Global Management via the “All Modules” Tab
If you want to edit text blocks for different fields without having to close the window constantly, use the overview.
- In any text module window, click the “All Modules” tab at the top.
- You will now see a tree structure showing all the text module categories available in the system (e.g., Amenities, Description, Location, Other Information).
- Click the arrow next to a category to expand the text blocks it contains.
- Here, too, use the pencil icon to edit or the trash can icon to delete the respective building block.
